A man wakes up in a dark prison cell. He doesn’t know how he got in there. He looks around and sees to his surprise that the prison door is open. But he cannot get out because his right-hand is chained to the floor. He hears a terrible scream from far away.

Then the film starts to tell a different story. We see the same man. But now he wakes up in a luxury bedroom. When he gets up he opens one of the big windows and he hears people on the street laughing and cheering. The man reacts shocked to this event. We do not why. From now on the film tells two stories about the same man. We do not know which story takes place first and which one second. But when the film evolves we see that the man is given a choice to escape. But the price he has to pay for it is very high.
